Library of Congress and WDL are they becoming the New Library of Alexandria

You know the Library of Congress isn’t just for Congress to use,(quite often they have proved they don’t use it).
And you don’t have to be in Washington DC to use it either, the web component is expanding as we speak.
It got me to think just how much it has grown since it was started and how in some ways it has become the New Library of Alexandria.
The Library of Congress has so much to offer those looking for information about our country and lives and about other places as well.
They have photographs, prints, newspaper, music, sound recordings, film, maps, manuscripts, historical items of all kinds.
Recently another website has come online as a world catalog, World Digital Library. It is also making great strides in bring information to all around the world. If you haven’t explored these resources you should give them a try.
